Following the concept of International Masterclasses for high school students, the teachers training provides:

- lectures from active scientists to gain insight into topics and methods of particle physics concepts and modern physics research,

- measurements on real data from particle physics experiments at the LHC (ALICE, ATLAS, CMS),

- opportunities for discussions with scientists and colleagues about the latest developments in research as well as how to connect science to the classrooms and how to increase students´ interest in science,

- a presentation of the ?Netzwerk Teilchenwelt? (German network for students and teachers who engage in particle and astroparticle physics) as well as of the ?Discover the Cosmos? network,

- a presentation of resources useable in the classroom and a discussion on conditions for improving science education (pedagogical concepts, materials, e-science applications...)
