DtC Teaching Training Workshop

The event ran from 1pm - 6.30pm and included:
? Intro Talk to outline the project and particle physics research at the LHC at CERN
? Workshop 1 - Using Minerva software to analyse particle properties
? Workshop 2 - Using cloud chambers to detect particles from radioactive decay and cosmic rays
? Workshop 3 - using scintillator telescopes to detect cosmic rays and to measure some of their properties
There was a significant practical element to the event, guiding teachers through the use of lab equipment and innovative PC software to do experiments in the classroom.
The teachers left with a resource pack, including a memory stick with all talks, worksheets and software.
